Why pack when you can blog about packing? :)
I'm leaving in the morning and I'm afraid it has still not hit me yet. When, then, will I realize that I am flying across the country to work for the largest sports broadcast in the world? As I go through security? While I'm in the plane? When I land? Checked into the hotel? Who knows!
I am fortunate enough to borrow a good friend's suitcase as mine was carry-on size and already half full with my snow boots alone. When I went to pick it up, I exclaimed, "That is so big I bet I could fit in there!" Well, my curiosity got the best of me...
In fact, I decided to surprise my parents by calling them to my room and hiding inside. When they were staring at the suitcase wondering where I went, I popped out and nearly gave my poor mother a heart attack.
It was fun :)
...hmm, I guess it's time to be responsible and put my belongings into this beast. Next time you hear from me, I'll be en route to Vancouver!!!
the fact that you are working for the largest event in the world will probably hit you as you fly over into canada about to land in Vancouver, at least that's when it did for me, O and btw it's beautiful here!
